Product Review: OUAI Thick Hair Treatment Masque

Tried out this OUAI Thick Hair Treatment Masque for a more than a month and it seems to do a great job taming my mane. For disclosure, I have received this product for free from Influenster and OUAI in exchange for my honest review.

My hair usually gets dry and frizzy due to the nature of my job but this instantly hydrates and moisturizes my curls. This treatment masque is specially formulated with ingredients like almond, macadamia and olive oils, shea and illipe butters and hydrolyzed keratin. 

The scent profile is leaning towards fruity florals like lychee, berry, peony, freesia and jasmine but with the rose being the dominant note overall. The consistency is noticeably thicker than most hair masks I've tried but a little goes a long way! 

So far, I have noticed my hair looks shinier and healthier when I use this.
Definitely recommended for people with unruly thick hair!

 I've been struggling to retrain my curl pattern due to hair damage so I've tried out products that could help me regain my luscious curls back. One of the products that I have tried recently is the Jozi Curls Curl Enhancing Spray. Here what I like:

One of the easiest and fastest attachment method is via one piece clip-on hair extensions. It allows you to quickly wear or remove hair extensions in a snap and by yourself, without need of extra tools. What differentiates “one piece” from multi-piece clip-ons is that you don’t need to put too many clips on your scalp – just one piece gives you a full head look.

3. Choose your hair extensions thickness

Once you have chosen to buy hair extensions, you may be faced with two choices – double drawn or single drawn hair extensions? Single drawn hair extensions typically have a V-shaped quality because most of the hair strands do not reach their prescribed length. For example, if you order 20 inches of hair extensions, only about 10% of those strands actually reach 20 inches and the rest are much shorter. On the other hand, double drawn hair undergoes a second process of selection where shorter hairs are removed by hand so that it has a solid length from root to tip.

Hair Diaries: January

Whether it is an intimate family gathering or an out-of-town vacation, having your photo taken is an inevitable occurrence especially during the month of December.

Honestly, I am already happy with the way my hair looks in general. I always get random compliments about my dainty curls. However, when I got to see the photos from our recent Olongapo-Baguio-Vigan-Laoag trip For the nth time: NO, I didn't dye my hair ombre! What really bothered me was how obvious the roots of my hair became!

At first, the cheapskate part of me was telling me I shouldn't spend too much on myself and "wala namang akong pinopormahan lately". But when I found out that the graduation photos were probably gonna be taken on February and Valentines day is just around the corner... why not?

Tiis-ganda moment

A few days ago I went to my inexpensive go-to salon "Petra & Pepita" at Legarda to have my hair colored. Inexpensive in a sense that the rate of their hair coloring for any length costs around P290. However, don't trust the rates of the posters outside because I usually get charged P790 because my hair is "damaged" thus needing Ionic Keratin Treatment. I consider this a steal because my long thick locks usually takes 4 boxes of hair dye just to get everything covered!

Before the salon visit 

I chose the second to the lightest shade in their chart just to have my hair color evened out. I think it was light ash blonde or something like that. I also had a haircut for P38, it was about time that I had my old perm chopped off! I'm not crazy about their haircut though, it wasn't as subtly layered as I wanted it to look. Then again, you get what you paid for so I'm not complaining as much. Lol

After the salon visit

Anywayyyy. I thought it was such a waste to "prettify" myself since I wasn't seeing anyone but then I realized, it wasn't about looking great to please your Future Mr. Right. No one will take care of you better than yourself. It was more of a confidence boost to me. I believe that when you look good, you'll feel good. And hopefully everything else will follow.

Again, I love the concept of sampling things before I commit to purchasing a full-sized one because I really find it a waste of money when I buy things I really don't like.

BDJ Box Beauty Social: Primp and Prettify

This is the 2nd BDJ Box Beauty Social for this year! Primp and Prettify was held at the SM Skydome!
The event was bigger and better compared to the 1st BDJ Box Beauty Social held last March.
During the event we got to explore some of the newest products that premium skincare, makeup and hair care brands had to offer! Glad I bought Ash and my mom along. :D

What's my take on these products?

Snoe Hair Heroes Intense UV & Thermal Barrier Shield (P 249)

This is the perfect fix for girls with unruly hair. We permed girls usually have to deal frizzy hair. 

This one works perfectly and it also could detangle our curls as well. The product is made with Argan Oil, Moringa Extract and Wheat Extract. The packaging is great because you could easily control how much product you need to pump out. I also recommend using this along with the intense PM version. 

I wish I could show you guys how well it works. 

I'll try to take some selfies sometime. Lol

Snoe Body Rituals Recipes Body Spritz in Cotton Candy (P 249)

This in particular is one of their newly released fragrances.
How do you spell Y-U-M-M-Y? This one I would totally repurchase because my bottle is already finished.

This one smells sweet like Sugar and Vanilla. You might think, this might smell overwhelming or too heavy on me. No, trust me. It's not as strong as Marshmallow Pie. And unlike most Body Spritz in the market, this one is more of an EDT. It's also moisturizing too. I love it! Let's spritz away!

Beauty Hack: Fake Bangs

I forgot to post this waaay back. I bought these clip-on bangs online (but it is also sold in malls now). It's really great for people who don't have bangs but wanted to have one without sacrificing their hair!

Think: Instant bangs.

Pros:

These are great! They hold on to the hair very well. Again, I find this very convenient for those who don't have bangs or those with uncooperative bangs. 

Cons:

However, for the Philippines' climate these things might make one feel uncomfortable because these things make me sweaty. Idk. Maybe it's just me.

Also, these things might look fake on people with damaged hair because it is shiny. 

But with the right choice of accessories and matching hair color these are really great.

Impulsive girls, put down those scissors. Why not give them a try?
