Contact Lens Review: Lenspop Bunny 3 Color Green

Of all the contact lenses I've worn, one of the most loved pair would be the GEO Tri-color Green (CM-903). Not only does my friends really love them on me but I've also worn them to death as well! Now here's a random discovery that will make some of my readers happy...

 I found a similar looking pair at Klenspop! Introducing its more "demure" twin, the Lenspop Bunny 3 Color Green. If the name sounds familiar, I have reviewed the Gray version of this previously here.

Contact Lens Review: O-Lens Jenith 3 Color Pink

As a kid, it was a dream of mine to be as pretty as Marin from Akazukin Cha Cha. Who wouldn't want to be a mermaid, right? What makes her look stand out is her unique dazzling locks that matches her eyes. I love it. I always wanted to rock pink hair way way back when I saw my idol Xiaxue effortlessly slaying every selfie with it.

Since I'm not yet ready to commit to something as drastic as bleaching my hair to get it pink, the closest I could do for the meantime is to channel Marin through these lenses!

To be honest, I was second guessing whether I should get these since I thought they wouldn't look as good on morena skin. But I'm glad I didn't let that stop me and I still got them anyway! Contact Lens Review: K2015 Gray (JS)

Most of the time, I find myself more attracted to colored contact lenses with interesting patterns. I love the ones that are so "out there." Especially the ones that provide either a very drastic color change or a very noticeable enlargement to the irises. I think if you're gonna drop the glasses and stick something foreign into your eyes, at least make it different from your regular look. Right?

When I first saw the K2015 Gray (JS) online at Klenspop, my first impression of it was it's just another grey lens that wouldn't do much. But when I got these last month, I was a bit surprised. Compared to the photos on the site, they look a bit different in person. They're mesmerizing when worn, especially outdoors!

Contact Lens Review: Clear Color CL101 Brown

If you're on the look out for the most natural brown contact lens in the market, forget everything I've said in the past. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!

A few years back, I've had an exact similar looking pair like this but it's from another brand. I opted getting one of these very natural looking ones simply because I get tired of being called that I look like a doll or that I look too Kpop-ish sometimes. Mainly because most of my lenses before were the oversized 14.5mm ones that will tend to make you look a bit younger. There are times that I'd get tired of the "cutesy" look and end up wanting a more mature look so I ended up ordering my first regular sized lens and the rest is history.

Contact Lens Review: Lenspop Ellen Panda PM 14 Violet

When I was a bit younger I was really obsessed with the color purple and violet. Just like a bowerbird, instead of collecting everything blue... I used to collect everything that everything close to that color! I was really fond of that color that I even wished to have the same eye color as Elizabeth Taylor. We all know the mutation Alexandria's Genesis is just a myth so basically the closest thing you could ever have to that is having your own purple contacts. However, before it wasn't possible and practical for me to do so because the only contacts available with grade in the market are usually black, grey and brown.

Fortunately now, we're no longer limited to certain designs, sizes and colors! I'm quite delighted to find out that some but not all pink and red lenses are available with grade. Finally, my prayers have been answered!

One of the things I found out while I was conducting my thesis survey was regardless of the age, gender, social status and whatsoever. The first thing that people tend to look at first are the eyes.

For certain occasions that I want to look extra pretty or glammed up, I'd tend to work on the eye area as my focal point for my makeup. Just to make my eyes do the talking.

But if my eyes could talk, I think they will tell you how mesmerizing my latest pair from Klenspop are!

Contact Lens Review: Canis Grey

One of the things you need to know before purchasing a pair of contact lens is it's not one size fits all. Do you have astigmatism? Chances are you should be wearing toric lenses instead of soft contact lenses. Are you going to a promising job interview or the first day of work wearing a pair of oversized dolly lens, sclera lens or crazy lens? Chances are they might prejudge you based on your appearance.

Another thing to consider is just because it looks good on the model doesn't necessarily mean that it would also look good on you. Not to discourage you or anything but I'm just being honest. I just don't want people wasting their hard earned money on things that wouldn't suit them well.

To my readers who are considering getting their first pair of contacts you might want to consider Canis Grey. A very subtle and versatile pair of contacts that I got from Klenspop, the leading company of circle lens and cosmetic lens in South Korea.

The design of the Canis Grey has a unique starburst pattern that blends seamlessly into the iris especially on dark ones. They're very very natural on Asian eyes that it's like you're not wearing anything at all! For me, I believe the Canis Grey is quite reminiscent of GEO Magic Black (CK-101) but with a more lovely gradient and sharper lines that would accentuate your natural eye color.

COLOR

Rating: 1/5 stars

Even with the pattern, DON'T expect any color change with this one unless you have light colored irises! The surprising thing about the Canis Grey is they aren't exactly grey. They're JET BLACK.
I think they should rename this to Canis Black to avoid all confusion.

ENLARGEMENT

Rating: 2.5/5 stars

Just like any regular sized lens at 14mm, don't expect too much enlargement with these.
With a thin limbal ring and a graphic diameter of 13.4mm, it does make your irises appear to be a little bit bigger but it's not that too noticeable.

COMFORT

Rating: 5/5 stars

When I do a contact lens review I make it a point to wear it for weeks to months before writing anything. These are very comfortable and up to this point I haven't encountered any discomfort or any irritation with these lenses... unless of course when I wear them too long. Something that you shouldn't do!

OVERALL

If I were to name this, I'd call it my "all-around" lens. I could wear it anywhere without bringing too much attention to my eyes. It's simplicity is something that I find convenient since you wouldn't have to worry if your office dress code allows it, makeup clashes with it or whatsoever. If you're wearing clear lenses for quite some time, you might want to consider this for a change. With these pair, I think you could never go wrong.

Contact Lens Review: Lenspop Bunny Color Brown

It's no secret, I don't like wearing glasses. I'm not one of those hot looking geeks or nerds that could pull off that "megane" look. Ever since I figured out how to wear contact lenses (probably five years ago) and I never turned back! Goodbye granny look!

If you're looking for a certain circle lens model that provides a subtle enhancement at the same time not being too flashy, read on as the Lenspop Bunny Color Brown might be the perfect pair for you!

This week I'm happy to receive this small parcel fresh from South Korea because I was kindly sponsored by the leading company of circle lens and cosmetic lens, Klenspop. The delivery was so fast that I wasn't expecting to get it anytime soon. I didn't even have my postal ID done yet! Lol. Thanks Klenspop!

Here's what I think about the Bunny Color Brown. The design of these aren't too harsh and would blend well on dark eyes. These are natural looking brown lenses with a design that is a little bit similar to GEO Grang Grang Brown except these are leaning more on an orangish brown shade. Both of which I find great on everyone with or without makeup due to the small diameter and the soft dark brown limbal ring.

COLOR

Rating: 3/5 stars

For the color, it gives an ample amount of color change even on the darkest irises. Not too vibrant but not too dull as well. Anyway, I brought along my other brown circle lenses for comparison. Notice that it's more of an orangey brown compared to the yellowish brown hue of my Crystal Peridot Brown and chocolatey brown Crystal Garnet Brown.

ENLARGEMENT

Rating: 2.5/5 stars

As for the enlarging effect of this lens, I can't say much. But it doesn't do a bad job either for a regular-sized lens since it does have a thin limbal ring and the print is extended to the edge of the lens. 

COMFORT

Rating: 5/5 stars

I remembered I once ordered a pair at Multiply *cough*AigooShoppe*cough* that was so irritable to the eye that I had no choice but to dispose of them. Thank God this is NOT one of those lens! For three consecutive days, I have worn this for long long hours at school. I'm happy that there is no discomfort so far. Like my previous lenses these are soft and I don't find them too thick. In fact I didn't even remember putting eyedrops on this week as it doesn't dry out my eyes at all.

OVERALL

Personally, I love these. I'd wear this for days that I don't want to looked too dolled up or made up. I could imagine myself wearing different makeup looks with this and still pull it off (unlike my green lenses). If you want something that looks natural and provide decent color change, I say go for it!

December 2014 Empties & Quick Reviews

Sometimes, I think I really suck at trying to be a beauty blogger. The products I always use up, I tend to throw away involuntarily. Ugh.. Some of the products you'll get to see here are "survivors".

I'm not a fan of hanging on to things so maybe next time I'll try my best not to throw away stuff. Lol

I may or may not have given some updates on certain products that I've promised to review since they are indeed a handful. However, these are some of the products I do have tried and tested to the point of emptying the whole product, some even repurchased. Armed with full honesty, here are my product empties for the month of December. Hope you guys could check it out!

1.) Celeteque Advanced Anti-Aging Cleansing Oil - Ever since I started wearing waterproof make up, oil based makeup removers have always been a staple. I'm currently using the full-sized version since I have already finished a lot of these sample sized version. Check out how it easily melts off my eye makeup here.

2.) Bath and Body Works Pleasures Mango Mandarin Body Lotion - I got this from my grandma. It's a thick scented lotion that does the job at moisturizing the skin. However, I only get to wear this at night because it doesn't have any SPF on it. You can't have it all, right?

3.) Fashion 21 Perfect Stick in Almond - I loooooooove this! This was one of those impulse buys that I didn't regret having! Although it tends to crease when concealing the under-eye area, it does a marvelous job at concealing my pimple scars. Plus, it is difficult to find something close to my skintone. I love yellow undertones on my concealers since it blends well on most asian skin, like mine. I would repurchase this as soon as I get to finish up my current BB cream.

4.) Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion - Staying in air-conditioned room for hours tend to dry my skin. This lotion is very hydrating without that greasy feel. However, like the Bath and Body Works Lotion... I only get to wear this at night due to the lack of SPF.

5.) The Cream Factory SCRUB-in-a-TUB - This is indeed a dessert for the skin. If you haven't seen my full review of this, check it out here.

6.) Syoss Airy Curl Cream - WHYYYYYYYYY. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO PHASE THIS OUT?!?!?! If I were to recommend a great and affordable styling product to everyone with curly or wavy hair. THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL. Even better than everyone's HG product, the Monea's Curling Defining Milk Lotion. Trust me. Tough luck finding this as I've been searching EVERYWHERE for more than 6 months for this. (UPDATE: Finally, they already have these on stock! However, I find the P120 to P160 price increase a little bit steep. Because of this, I might try to find a more affordable curling cream in the future...)

7.) Snoe Body Ritual Recipes Honey Bath Syrup in Strawberry Smoothie - It a fruity scented body wash with bits of strawberry seeds to keep you smelling great while exfoliating the skin. Best paired with the Scrumptious Body Spritz.

8.) Celeteque Brightening Tri-Benefit Power Cream - I don't know if my skin brightened because of this, but I like this as my moisturizer because it doesn't leave my skin looking shiny. However, I will not commit to the full sized one because I might consider trying out their Celeteque Sun Care Matte Moisturizer soon.

9.) Snoe Magic Apple Whitening S-Rub - My elbows and knees lightened a little bit when I started using this product. If you like products that would last you forever, this is it! I remembered I bought this way back when I was an intern.

10.) OptiFree Replenish - Sadly, my eyes doesn't like every other contact lens solution brand out there. ReNu, Septocare, Lens Care, etc.You name it. If you haven't seen my detailed blog post about my very sensitive eyes. Check it out here.

11.) Candii Nail Polish Remover Wipes - I got this from my mom. It smells good and it's non-drying. I'd say this is a good idea when you're always on the go. However, it dries out if left unused for too long.

12.) Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 - I'm not sure if I got a bad stock but sometimes this product irritates my skin a little, which is weird because the samples I've tried before didn't do the same. I like this product especially on the holidays because it really moisturizes the skin well.

Contact Lens Review: GEO Tri-color Green (CM-903)

These lenses are called GEO Tri-color Green or CM-903.

I got these from my favorite online shop GWYSHOP.

They sell a wide variety of products from contact lenses, cosmetics to wigs.

She always deliver the products on time and I've been purchasing from her ever since!

I think it is finally legit to make a review about this since I've been wearing these for almost a year.
Yes, these contacts are good for one year and 3 years if not opened.

Free Comic Book Day 2013 @ Fully Booked

I did not expect such an overwhelming amount of people in there! Seriously!
I dropped by 9:40am and the mall was still closed. As soon as they let the people in, those die hard fans ran like hell to Fully Booked. I was lucky, someone wanted to change comic books so I got the last copy of Archie! Hahahaha!

Sensitive Eyes

I remembered way back, the first solution I used for my eyes was SeptoCare.

I reallized I was allergic to thimerasol (a preservative) and had a very sensitive pair of eyes.

I consulted my ophthalmologist in UP Infirmary and showed her this:

Okay, here's a disturbing closeup:

She said I was allergic to contacts and shouldn't take contacts that are not sold in optical shops (GEO and EOS). But stubborn me wanted to keep on using her contacts. So I told my orgmates about my little problem and they told me to try using Opti-Free Replenish because it's good for sensitive eyes.

 At first I was hesistant. Mainly because I am a cheapskate. Come on, are you gonna shell out P300+ for some solution? But after a few months of using this product I conclude that you really do get what you paid for (even though its really pricey).

And no, I'm not getting paid by Alcon just to say these things.

Lesson learned: NEVER SCRIMP ON YOUR EYES!

You only have one pair, don't mess them up!

GLASSES SUX!

And to think i've only had this for less than a year.

And both of them snapped (temples) even without applying pressure. I will never go back there to buy glasses. They always find ways to screw up with my specs (other pair of glasses were always falling from my face FML)

Glasses makes you look older & looks bad in pictures.
Glasses always breaks.
Glasses are sometimes heavy.
Glasses are sometimes too tight/too loose (will elaborate later)
Glasses are very uncomfortable when you lie down.
Glasses sometimes fogs up/smudges.

From now on, i'll only wear glasses if my eyes needs a break from wearing contacts.

Don't get me wrong, contacts sucks too. You need to be really hygienic & need to be careful with them(because they're expensive). But other than that, I have nothing bad to say about contacts. Plus, i've never had a moment that my contacts fell or something.

I want a break. Ugh. My breathing sucks. I feel chest pains. Definitely tired.

In other news, just found out I have low-blood pressure.
Totally weird because I totally pig out on artery clogging food. Ugh.
