I know a lot of my readers are nail art experts. I took a shot at trying it out. It wasn't easy as it looks. Lol.
This weekend, BDJ BOX along with Revlon got to host their first Nail Art Party Series
exclusive to BDJ Box subscribers and BDJ Bellas here at The Podium.
We were treated with a lunch buffet at CCA Market Cafe where they served us a very delicious full course meal. Honestly, this was one of the best meals I had at their events. It was so good that I even forgot to take a picture because my plate was already empty! Wahaha!
Everyone was provided with nail art tools. Here we got to try and take home Revlon's wide range of different products. One of which is the never before released Revlon Parfumerie in Ginger Melon; that once dry, would release a yummy fragrance. Along with it was the Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel in Seduce which has a built-in protective base + top coat for that unbreakable punch of color. Revlon Nail Art in Moon Candy (Satellite) and Revlon Nail Art in Expressionist (Night and Degas) for the creative girls. Revlon Nail Brightener for those who have problems with their yellow stained nails and Revlon Matte Top Coat for those who don't want shiny nails. All of which deserves another post. Really!
From L-R, Top to Bottom: Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel in Seduce, Revlon Parfumerie in Ginger Melon, Revlon Nail Brightener, Revlon Matte Top Coat, Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy in Satelitte and Revlon Nail Art Expressionist in Night and Degas.
Nail polish remover, dotting tool, sponge and cotton pads for everyone's use.
The event started with Beauty Minister, Nicole Romero who basically told us almost everything we need to know about nails.
Some of the topics that we tackled were:
- Mani 101 - Basic Tools, Polish Technique and Quick Dry Technique
- Finding Your Nail Shape - What Nail Shape Works Best for You?
- Polish Basics: Finding The Right Hue - Warm or Cool Undertones?
- Nail Care - Use of Cuticle Softener, Treat / Boost and Nail Brightener
- Nail Art Trends - Awesome Nail Trends for Early 2014
- Nail Art Techniques - Dotting, Animal Prints, Hearts / Cherries, Gradient, Stencils and Stripping
- Nail Art Ideas and Combos - Using Different Nail Art Techniques Together
They also had a competition where four of the best valentines day inspired nail art gets to score gift packs courtesy of Revlon! Awesome! Of course, I couldn't obviously win especially when you're sitting next to Paula of WoW Nails she's the Goddess of Nail Art. No kidding.
Just. Look. At. Those. Gradients!!!
Mine pretty much sucks. It's little bit too sloppy. Wahahaha
I'm quite glad Jacqui saved me a seat because I got lost again on my way there. Huhu
During the event, I got to meet new and old Bellas from our table..

The great thing about the nail art competition was it really helped stimulate our creativity and try out new nail art techniques that we weren't so used to.
Here are the some of the winning entries who basically nailed it!
This was probably one of the funniest beauty soiree I've ever attended to.
Could you imagine all of us girls were like "Can you help me take a picture of my nails?" or
"Could you get that? My nails are still wet..". >_<
It wasn't easy taking selfies either. Huhu
Closing the event was the very gorgeous Camille Mananquil, the Brand Specialist of Revlon Philippines.
Thank you BDJ BOX and Revlon Philippines for the creatively fun event!
Now, I could let my nails do the talking. Lol
Looks like you had a lot of fun!!! What a great experience! Thx for sharing.
