Megaworld at the Fort Goes Social!

A few weeks ago, I got an email from fellow BDJ veteran, Joey inviting us to attend a media event held by Megaworld exclusively to Manila's most popular lifestyle and real estate bloggers. For those who aren't familiar, Megaworld is the Philippines' largest residential condominium developer and business process outsourcing office developer and landlord. Who could turn down an invite like that, right?

After work, I went to the McKinley Hill only to find out it was held on the Upper McKinley Hill Information Center. While I was busy figuring out how not to get lost at BGC (which I normally do), the other bloggers were toured at the McKinley Hill showroom. From what I've seen from the pictures, the venetian-inspired rooms looks really luxurious.

After everyone got settled down, they introduced Megaworld's current projects and visions. One of which is their LIVE-WORK-PLAY-LEARN-SHOP lifestyle concept which was a successful formula as seen in the Fort. Other townships include the country's first IT park, Eastwood City and will be replicated in Newport City, home to Resorts World Manila in Pasay; and also in Manhattan Garden City located in Cubao.

LIVE - Infrastructures are master planned and globally inspired designs (from the Spanish Mediterranean Design and Italian Romanticism) are intelligent and environment-friendly such as the McKinley West Village and Tuscany Private Estate.

With these elements combined in a township, the proximity provides privileges such as innovation, convenience, luxury and value. Thus, better lives in the communities that they have created.

During the presentation, we were treated to an Asian themed buffet dinner and free flowing wine. The century eggs there were my favorite along with the fruity white wine. Throughout the event, I was really glad they gave us personalized name tags so that we could get to interact with the other bloggers. Plus, I'm really bad with names. While we were socializing with our fellow bloggers, they were also giving away prizes for a hashtag competition on Twitter (#MegaworldattheFort). Some of the prizes that were included are gift vouchers for Starbucks, Shanghai Bistro and The Richmonde Hotel.

At the end of the event, nobody was left empty-handed because they were also giving away a bottle of complimentary wine for everyone. And not just your regular red wine, this was a twelve year old Chianti. 

I don't speak Italian but I'm guessing this will be really good. Hihi
