My Quick Trip to Zoocobia + Blog Giveaway!

At this age, I figured that I'd rather spend my time on memories. Not so much on material things anymore. I don't know if it's my ~maturity~ talking, but I find myself much happier trying out things I haven't experienced before. I believe there are moments that you simply couldn't put a price tag on.

Last weekend, we got to visit Zoocobia for their special pre-valentine event; "LOVE IS IN THE AIR" in Clark, Pampanga. The event was jam-packed with fun games and activities for everyone to enjoy, whether you're single or with someone!

Zoocobia is much more than a place to view animals. It is a complete educational and fun experience. Situated in the beautiful, lush, forested foothills of the extended Clark Freeport Zone, Zoocobia is an ecological experience of impressive proportions.

Since the bus got there around at 5pm due to the unexpected heavy traffic caused by the Hot Air Balloon Festival which was also at Clark, we didn't really got to visit every corner of the zoo theme park. Despite all of that, the stressful traffic was worth it. Zoocobia was a breath of fresh air for a city girl like me.

I'm going to show you a part of what you could see at Zoocobia. Take a look!

Birds of Paradise

At Birds of Paradise you can have a very close encounter with different kinds of birds and learn more about their scientific name, origin, diet, habitat and other trivia.

From L-R: Brahminy Kite and Serpent Eagle

Here's a random photo of a Peregrine Falcon and her trainer. The Peregrine Falcon is one of my favorite predatory birds when I was a kid. I only used to see them in books and I'm quite happy to see one live in person!

Philippines Pride

The Philippines Pride area showcases various animals and plants that are endemic to the Philippines.

They also have a playground there for the kids and kids at heart to enjoy!

According to the Chinese calendar, 2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey. Both the sign and the element of your birth year are said to affect your personality and destiny.

I'm not really into certain beliefs or superstitions but I just decided to try it out. The Philippine Long-Tailed Macaque doesn't seem to like pumpkins though.

Garden Maze

The Garden Maze features various animal topiaries that will leave you amazed. The thrill is when you go through the labyrinth and the challenge is to figure out how to get out of there!

Inside the maze with my blogger friends Roxy, Allan, Rejj, Alice and Jinky.

Here's the top view of the Garden Maze. It's still under development but would be so amazing if they decided to expand this area.

Bunny World

This one isn't open to the public when we got there but here's a sneak peak of their upcoming Bunny World. The bunnies there are so big and fluffy! I want to pet them all!!!

Zooc Ride

Now in the Philippines! The Zooc Ride! It's a gravity car that is patterned after the luge in Sentosa Resort in Singapore.

It runs on a 400 meter track with three hairpin curves that are guaranteed to make one's ride a zoo-per thriling experience!

One of the hairpin curves inside the Zooc track!

It doesn't go as fast as a kart but you will still need to wear your seat belt and a helmet for safety precautions.

How it works? It's easy. Just push the handle forward to stop, push back to go faster. To navigate left and right, just use it like a bike. It's fun and I'd love to try it again! It's definitely one of my favorite attractions in Zoocobia!

Aeta's Tribal Show

Neon Show (Philippines' Pride and Adventure Rides)

Sky Lantern Flight

After the Fireworks Display everyone got to try lighting up our own wish lanterns. One wish lantern costs P100 each. The view here looks so lovely since there isn't much light pollution as compared to our place so the only thing you'll see is a sea of wish lanterns floating slowly in the sky.

Other Attractions

We didn't get to visit every corner of the Zoocobia due to time constraints. But here are some other attractions that could also be found there.

The Giant Fun Slide

The Zing Ride

The ATV Adventure Ride

Animal Petting and Feeding

The First In The Philippines: Ride A Camel
