Breathing Your Way To Beauty: Aqua Mineral Launches the First Salt Room in the Philippines

Before anything else, I'm sorry if I haven't posted anything here for the past few weeks. Going back to working in the corporate world had my hands all tied up. Honestly, I don't have as much time for myself as I did with freelancing. But hey, it's a part of growing up. Trying out new things that will challenge you are the same things that will help you improve to be a better person. However, too much challenges will definitely stress you out. From what I've learned, stress is alright as long as it's "eustress" but if it's "distress" it's the kind of stress that is unhealthy and harmful to the body.

Different people have different ways on dealing with stress. Some get massages, some eat to their heart's desire, some enjoy a bottle of wine and others even smoke. But have you ever tried hanging out at a salt room to make yourself feel better?

Yes, you've heard that right. Aqua Mineral, the first and the most trusted skin care brand when it comes to Dead Sea Mineral based skin care products brings us the first ever Salt Room in the Philippines.

If you aren't familiar with the brand yet, here's some of their popular products in action:

I also previously blogged about Aqua Mineral here: http://www.kamila5.com/2014/11/defying-time-at-aqua-mineral-bondate.html

This is concept was conceived and inspired by the hundreds of years old Natural Salt Caves of Europe which have been a buzz since researchers show that salt miners are rarely, if never sick. With this new found elixir of health the whole world clamored and salt rooms or halo-therapy centers have popped out and are enjoyed by many western countries. It is said that Salt Therapy is recommended for various ailments and illnesses.

Along with us during the launch are the beautiful women of Ms. Tourism

You might be scratching your head and thinking "How could your salt do all those things?" Aqua Mineral embraces and celebrates the power of nature's oldest crystal. The secret is the surface of Aqua Mineral's salt rooms are virtually covered with three different kinds of salt. All of which are popular of having their own unique health benefits to boast and has so many write ups about them.

The three different kinds of salt included there are:

Sea Salt - The health benefits of sea salt include good skin care, improved dental health, relief from rheumatoid arthritis, muscle cramps, psoriasis, and osteoarthritis. Furthermore, it is beneficial for exfoliation, nasal and eye wash, and an improved electrolytic balance of the body. It has healing properties that play a vital role in maintaining acid-alkali ratio, regular heartbeat, and relaxed sleep, along with providing relief from general body fatigue.

Dead Sea Salt - Harvested where the mineral content of the waters is the highest. In its pure and rawest form, it contains 21 essential minerals including Magnesium, Calcium, Bromide, Iodine, Sulfur, Potassium, Soidum, Zinc that are known to treat, detoxify and cleanse the body.

Himalayan Salt - Mined from ancient sea beds where it is untainted by toxins. It provides a rich source of 84 trace minerals, plus a unique ionic energy that is released when the salt is mixed with water. It also helps in supporting weight loss, detox, and aids in balancing hormones.

So how does it work? The salt rooms provide you a dry, sterile and pollutant-free environment where you can immerse yourself for an hour. From what I have learned, salt therapy is safe, non-invasive and is naturally anti-inflammatory and enriched with negative ions. The more negative ions you are exposed to, the better and more energized you feel!

And what's so nice about it is anyone can try it without experiencing any negative side effects. Salt therapy is recommended as a positive addition to regular medical care and is offered as an alternative and complimentary healing method, thus expanding treatment options.

With this launching of the salt room, the Philippines can now enjoy the privileges of having salt caves like Europe. If you're interested to try this "different" kind of theraphy you could visit them at Robinson's Malate, Gateway Mall and Century City Mall.
