Apologies for the late post. September was such a tough month for me.
A few months ago, I got movie tickets to The Butler and a loot bag courtesy of Snoe Beauty Inc.
The advanced movie screening that I went to was in SM Aura. Apologies for the photos, but I forgot to tag along my camera. Before the movie, we were treated to unlimited red wine and other refreshing concoctions. OVN also offered the most delicious Barako Coffee Balls and Ensaymadas.
The Butler is a historical drama film directed by Lee Daniels and
written by Danny Strong.
The movie was inspired by Cecil Ganes, a
African-American butler in the White House who served eight presidents
for decades. The film shows the struggle for civil rights of African-American
people and what they went through then and now. I don't want to spoil everything, but I was moved by the part where they sat at a restaurant
just to exercise their rights, that scene left me teary-eyed. The
casting was amazing, you could really feel as if the actors and
actresses were living the characters' lives. For a historical drama
film, this movie is not at all boring. However, I don't know if it
appeals to everyone.
Nevertheless, I still suggest you all should watch
this box-office film.
For those who have watched The Butler, this is an interesting read: http://bit.ly/LDTB_10
Thank you Snoe Beauty Inc for this wonderful experience!
