Midnight Snack at Tamayaki

Finally, its about time I got to visit Tamayaki! Tamayaki is a restaurant that offers a wide variety of quality Takoyaki and refreshing Tea. Picture this, they have 10 different flavors to choose from! And I haven't even started on their sauce! No wonder why IamMEG.ph is raving on this!

I was supposed to visit Tamayaki way way back with my friend. But due to my lack of navigational skillz, my friend and I got lost at P. Guevarra St. trying to find Tamayaki and eventually gave up.

But I'm glad I didn't! I went back there after a few weeks at their San Juan branch with my mom because she was also craving some Takoyaki herself. Hahaha

The ambiance of the place was totally chill. Perfect for studying, relaxing or whatever. No stressful noise pollution at all. The employees are very polite, they are even kind enough to give recommendations on which ones to try out.

My mom got to try their Oriental Beef Takoyaki (P95) and I got to try their Ham and Mozzarella Cheese Takoyaki (P105). Their Takoyaki is delicious. It's crispy in the outside, but very soft in the inside. It is a little spicy though. But it something you should get excited about. A word of caution though, IT IS HOT. Wait a few minutes to cool before taking a bite.

We also got to try their Honey Citron that was on buy 1 take 1. I was expecting that it was too sweet or too sour. But it wasn't. It was perfectly balanced in terms of flavor and it is really worth trying. So refreshing indeed.

    1. It's a Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special takoyaki pan. It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus, tempura scraps and other ingredients. Hope you'll get to try it out soon. It's really yummy!
